This is my 4th Areca RAID controller (all still working). They are great, rock solid, this one is the fastest I've owned, and the board is great. Do be aware if you want to use it on SATA drives, you'll need to buy additional cables that convert Mini-SAS to 4x SATA. They are about $30 each. But, this card is great, and with 24 ports, lots of room to grow.
