I recently purchased a 7" Marshall LCD monitor and paid close to $500 for it. Needless to say, I was a little skeptical about getting a significantly larger monitor for less than half the price of my Marshall. I use this monitor for when I am shooting my sons hockey games. The lilliput worked so well that I now plan to sell my old Marshall and just keep this one instead. The build seems solid and it is intuitive to use. I removed the monitor stand which reveals a 1/4" thread (which is fairly standard with a lot of photo and video equiptment) and have it mounted on a seperate tripod. If you are planning on using this item remotely (as I do) please note that it does not run off of a battery. I have the Vagabond Mini(tm) Lithium Battery Inverter which allows me to use AC power on the go. You will either need to buy something similar if you want to use this monitor remotely or plan to bring VERY long extension cords.
