This is just to inform potential buyers that pukey doesn't know what he/she is talking about. PCI-E 3.0 is backward compatible, meaning if your motherboards pci-e slot is version 1.0, 2.0, or 3.0, this card will work. The difference between those 3 versions is bandwidth, but the physical slot is exactly the same. That said, I don't actually own the card. I am, however looking for a new one, so when I came across pukey's ridiculous 1-star review, I decided to balance things out by giving the item a five-star rating.
