This is a low power consumption CPU that is great for HPTC builds. Even though it's rated at 55 watt TDP, the CPU idles at about half that amount. My HTPC re-build uses this CPU, 8 GB DDR3, 5(five) 3TB Harddrives, 80GB SSD Bootdrive and Asrock H77 Pro4-M. The system pulls a total of 60-65 watts with all drives spun up.
