Whether or not it's worth $200 may be debatable, entirely depending on your needs, but it is very hard to find any fault with this premium sound card. The sound quality, and the quality of the connectors, are both top-notch. If you're using cheap PC speakers, you won't hear a difference. But if you are using this to run a decent audio system with good speakers and a good amplifier, this will be in a different world compared to other cheaper varieties. I haven't tried the other high-end soundcards, but it is very hard to imagine anything better than this.

The soundcard has a pair of RCA stereo connectors, a necessity for connecting to a regular audio amplifier. I hate adapters. Not only do adapters look messy and ugly, in this case it may also have an impedance and signal voltage mismatch problem. With this soundcard's dedicated RCA stereo connectors, it is total peace of mind.

If you need to drive your front audio panel, this card has everything you need.

The driver is perfect, showing no issues at all. Instead of using the driver that comes with the sound card, I directly downloaded the most up-to-date version and installed it. The control software is not very sophisticated. But I don't need those complex controls, so the simplicity is actually a good thing for me. There is also a less chance for bloated software to cause any computer problems.

I actually don't listen to music that much, but instead use this for professional speech recognition for productivity. I had doubts whether I needed a high-end soundcard for this purpose, but I'm so glad I got it. This thing simply has absolutely no noise, which is a very critical factor in speech recognition applications.
