Tough to write a review for RAM. It really won't show its true colours until you've used it for a year or two. So far, it's been entirely unsurprising. You put it in, and it works. I guess this is normally grounds for a five-star review, but I would want it to surprise me in some positive fashion to get that. But how would RAM surprise me positively? In the end, I decided to give it four stars, wait for another 6-12 months, and if I remember, come back and give it a fifth star if it keeps performing without problems.

This is RAM for an older workstation, and so the RAM costs way more than better, faster, cooler RAM, so that was a bit of a hit to the old happiness-o-meter, though that's hardly the fault of... well... anyone but me, the guy trying to upgrade RAM in an old workstation. The typical method of upgrading is throw the whole thing away, and buy a bigger badder better faster one. Because I take care of my older computers, and I find myself in need of RAM for running virtual machines, I get F'd when I have to spend $120 for 8GB RAM.

I'm also older. So my bones creak when I walk, and my back hurts when I try for those all-weekend hack sessions.

See? What can you possibly write in a RAM review? Maybe I could take it political. Obama mentions always seem to bring out the crazies. That guy promised us peace and financial stability, then he gave big bucks to the bankers and committed our troops to random third-world countries again.

Or maybe I should just stick to technology. This RAM stuff. You put bits into it and read them out again... only REALLY FAST.
