The USB stick installs in just one minute and includes user-friendly software that gives you customized ways to keep tabs on temperature. Standard email alerts are sent when the temperature goes out of your acceptable range, allowing you to take timely corrective action. You can customize the alert message to be sent continuously or just once when triggered. Temperature Alert also lets you know if the temperature returns to your acceptable range, indicating that the problem is solved. Sometimes when there is a small power interruption the A/C in my server room kicks off and doesn't come back on. When this happens the servers heat up at a very rapid rate and before I bought this sensor I had no way of knowing there was a problem and have had several occasions where I came into work to find an extremely hot room with server fans running at full speed.
