Alienware X51 AX51-5728BK Desktop (Matte Stealth Black) Review

So first of all let me see this is a great computer and I'd probably give it a 9 for a customer that isn't really into building their own computer and just wants something that'll work and play most of their games on mid to high settings. This computer really isn't built to be worked on its mostly built to look great and have good performance. Let me say that the video card is really the only thing that keeps this desktop back. If you are looking to play something like Crysis 3 on high settings this isn't the computer for you. But if you want to play it on decent settings and other games on mid to high settings then this is for you. The computer itself looks great and comes with a good amount of bells and whistles. It lets you customize the color of the lights for the Alienware logo's eyes and the two side lights which can also be independent colors. It also has a blu ray drive that supports 3D with a hdmi, dvi and display port built into the video card. It has an option for an optical cable if you desire as well. it runs windows 8 which can be a good or bad thing depending on your preference. The computer is really small it would be considered a small tower and its about the size of a PS3 to give you a better idea. I was surprised when i first opened it and looked at the size. Now for the tech guys this computers customization might be a let down., The video card can be upgraded but I believe there are limitations to which card you can upgrade to but there are plenty of forums you can check that out on to get the best card. It does support up to 16 gigs of ram and it comes with a stock 8 gigs. Also you cannot have more than one hard drive in the case at a time. This might be a let down if you wanted to stick a solid state drive in there to really speed things up.

I'm going to say this is a great computer for someone that wants a gaming machine but doesn't want to build there own. You can do minor upgrades to it to make it a bit better but not too many. So those looking for something completely customizable will want to look elsewhere. But this is still a pretty cool little machine that I would recommend
