This product is sold by Cisco Enterprise Systems and is not for general public use. When you power up the device it does not automatically enable the radios and there is no access to a readily available user manual, guide or PC software to configure the device. You really need to be a network specialist to know how to access the device and set it up.

For the professional it seems to have a lot of good features like Aironet processing for a noisy environment that you would encounter in a factory, hospital, etc.

When I called Cisco I was told that this was an enterprise product and I'd have to have a service contract to get anyone from Cisco to give me the time of day. I was sent to several Cisco phone numbers before I got the turndown for any help.

Amazon doesn't make it clear what this product is and what you need to set it up. When the box arrived, it only contained the device itself -- no power supply and no antennas -- which i had to order separately. The picture shows the device with the antennae attached but they don't come with the device; so buyer beware.

This is a standalone device which means that you can at least use it without a separate controller. (That apparently is what the E stands for.)
