The PlayBook is the first device to run BlackBerry Tablet OS, based on QNX Neutrino, and runs apps developed using Adobe AIR. A second major revision to the BlackBerry PlayBook OS was released in February 2012. This is a wonderful tablet! I really like the bridge! There is one downside, however. The Kindle app is not supported on this device nor many other useful and popular apps. I contacted Blackberry customer service and was coldly advised that I should use other ebook apps and not hold out hope for the Kindle app. Considering I have thousands of dollars worth of periodicals and books on Kindle, including my School Books, I am disenchanted and disappointed with that answer. I highly recommend this device (wouldve given 5 stars prior to issue above) even with the app issues.
