I purchased a ASUS RT-AC66U router and this Buffalo bridge to use for streaming HD video and DTS audio to my LG blu-ray player for display on a 65 inch Toshiba (old old old projection type TV). I have tried other "N" routers and power plug (500 Mbit) devices from several vendors. I was only able to stream (without stuttering) from the powered ZyXEL Powerline AV 500 Mbps (PLA4225KIT) and only after running a CAT-6 cable from my router to my hallway power plug (none of the power plugs in my computer room worked well enough to allow streaming hd video). This last trick worked but I had to lay a rug over the CAT-6 to keep from tripping on it. I also do get a stutter or loose the audio (DTS) sometimes with this solution.

I am very happy to report that with the ASUS RT-AC66U and the Buffalo AirStation AC1300 / N450 4-Port Gigabit Dual Band Wireless Ethernet Bridge and Gaming Adapter - WLI-H4-D1300 I can now stream HD (1080p with DTS audio) to my TV (via the LG Blu-ray player). I have tried several movies and so far have not had any hicups. I don't know what the actual stream rate is (I did not test with any analysis software etc.).

I purchased the Buffalo WLI-H4-D1300 after I had the ASUS RT-AC66U when they dropped the price on the Buffalo. I was looking to pick up something from ASUS but they did not bring out anything soon enough (unless I wanted to purchase another router and set it up as a bridge or whatever).

My computer room is separated from the TV/LG Blu-ray by a hallway (about 4 feet wide) so we are talking three rooms or two walls and about 20 to 30 feet as the crow flies. Not a great distance but as I stated, I did not have much success with other equipment before this combo.

I had no problem with the setup - I just used the push-button connect to get the two units to exchange setup information. I did not have to manually set up the Buffalo. I did also push the "5 Mhz" button on the Buffalo.

I hope this helps someone else looking into streaming HD.
