The MiniPro� � portable dual-drive RAID system provides massive storage capability with a triple combination of 1394b FireWire 800, eSATA & USB 3.0. The unit offers RAID 0 (Striping) and RAID 1 (Mirroring) and is equipped with the industry's best Oxford chipset, which is approved by many professional Audio/Video hardware and software manufacturers for high-end media production.

The unit can be powered using FireWire bus power or the included AC power adapter. An HDD spin-down feature ensures efficient operation by reducing power consumption. When your computer enters sleep mode, the hard drive spins down to minimize power consumption.

Critical parameters such as HDD temperature can be monitored easily with the help of the LCD display. Also included are LED indicators for immediate system status. The MiniPro RAID enclosure is compatible with all 2.5" SATA drives (up to 9.5mm or 12.5mm height).

The device had a great build quality. All parts are metal including the drive trays. I added two hard drives and attached them to to the unit with the eight screws that were included and attached the device to my macbook pro. The unit display indicated it was running RAID 1 and I formated the drives and it was ready to run. Just to test it out in RAID 0 I hit a couple of buttons per the included instructions again formated the drive and perfect RAID 0. The divice comes with all the cables for all interfaces eSATA, USB 3, and Firewire 800. They are all about 18" long and some may think they are to short but for me they are perfect for use with my notebook. The drive is not only well made and includes everything needed its a very quick drive and given the quality and speed well worth the cost. It also includes an AC adapter that is needed when running in USB or eSATA modes its bus powered when running Firewire.
