I built a 3D computer with shutter glasses and it worked well, but this monitor would have saved me a great deal of money if it had been available about a year or two ago. The 3D vision system in my original shutter glasses setup works well but in my opinion it is obsolete. You don't need the drivers,rechargeable glasses, and extra parts and wires, this monitor handles the whole works by itself, and I think that any graphics card that can display 720p will work just fine. The only thing you have to do to go into 3D mode with this monitor is press the 3D button and it will automatically convert side by side, over under, or 2D presentations into an amazing 3D picture. I have a tv tuner in my computer, and a set top box dedicated to my computer through which I can receive HBO and Starz 3D movies, and I also get ESPN 3D and another 3D channel that has mostly junk on it. I can also buy 3D movies through on demand. I expect that soon Netflix will offer 3D presentations, but I don't know that for sure. I bought the monitor from Korea, and had to get an adapter for the power plug. Not a big deal, but it threw me at first. The adapters are inexpensive, I got about six of them on Amazon for six dollars. I also have a Aiptek 3D camera which can be bought on Amazon for around 70 dollars, and it works well with this system. The 3D picture generated with two lens cameras is better than the conversion of 2D pictures. It has the appearance of things close to the lens popping out of the monitor.
