Makayama Movie Mount for iPad 3 Review

I use this system to create home tours and community tours for my real estate business. I am clear that I am a Realtor, not a professional videographer, but I want my end product to be the very best possible for a "do it yourselfer". The Makayama Movie Mount for the iPad 3 allows you to use a tripod and it has a wide angle lens- solving for the two biggest problems of shooting homes on an iPad. It is AMAZING to see your subjects on the huge iPad screen.

The mount snaps onto the iPad like many iPad cases. It is easy on and relatively easy off. A minor annoyance is the case covers the on/off button on the top. Be sure to check all four corners- you don't want the iPad falling out and if you add the super wide angle lens the case gets heavy! The lens is on a slide so you can move it out of the way for regular shots. I have no idea why that is necessary and the slide system is pretty flimsy and keeps popping out of the track. It's easy to pop back in, however. This flimsyness is the only reason for the 4 stars, not 5. On the other hand, who can argue the price? The "shoe" mounts on top and side are great for an additional light or microphone- making for a complete video system.

This is a STEAL OF A DEAL for this price. I highly recommend it.

Admittedly I am a WordPerfect snob, as I have used WordPerfect (for business & personal uses) since it first came out in DOS format back in 1982. It had to be loaded on a limited basis due to the limited size of the hard drives. I fondly remember using "Dr. DOS" and those 5.25 floppy disks! It was and is, and will remain the best program that mimics the simplicity of having a piece of paper in a typewriter.....

"The all-time favorite version of WordPerfect was probably version 5.1, which was released in 1989. That is the version that most old users most reminisce about. Two reasons for its popularity were that it had reveal codes and that it had a very robust macro language." ( [...] )

Now, some 30 years later, it is still the best word processing program on the market. Why? Unlike Microsoft Word, it is not laden with coding, and can convert files better than Word.
