Admittedly I am a WordPerfect snob, as I have used WordPerfect (for business & personal uses) since it first came out in DOS format back in 1982. It had to be loaded on a limited basis due to the limited size of the hard drives. I fondly remember using "Dr. DOS" and those 5.25 floppy disks! It was and is, and will remain the best program that mimics the simplicity of having a piece of paper in a typewriter.....

Now, some 30 years later, it is still the best word processing program on the market. Why? Unlike Microsoft Word, it is not laden with coding, and can convert files better than Word. It also retains all of the keystroke shortcuts, reveal codes (incredible for editing), and rich macros abilities that make it the hallmark of word processing.

With the advent of e-filing, the need to convert documents to other formats, not suprisingly WordPerfect can perform tasks that Word cannot. So, it has maintained its viability while retaining it simplicity and its primary thrust - word processing.
