Let's start out on a high note, I was really excited at the existence of this type of totally open ended system as anything dedicated to any specific type of software use is five times the price with more limited options. I'm even more excited by the fact that you can use it to do virtually ANYTHING on your computer! BUT I've had this unit a few weeks and only messed with it for a half hour or so to try to figure it out and can't even get CLOSE.... YES, I read the little tutorial that the software comes with. Is there a more detailed MANUAL I'm missing? I can't wait till I figure out the seemingly enigmatic software provided to program it with because I think this will become a very powerful tool to use in my work. I wish they had a stupid proof way IE "SIMPLE VIEW" to set the key commands like most of the midi and game controllers come with that show you a picture of the controller, allow you to select the control you want to set, and type in a command for it to memorize. It would also be amazing for this same software to have a button that automatically burns these settings to the actual device's memory instead of having to download the third party software, learn how to burn the saved file from the programing software into the unit so you can use it on another system without having to install and set up the control software all over again if you want to use it on another computer. So, It has it's weaknesses and takes some thought and tenacity to learn to program but once you figure it out and finally set it up, It offers amazing results. I THINK THE ROOT ISSUE IS, the type of people who can easily program this thing are the types who have already memorized all the key commands of the software they use :-/ WE NEED A STUPID PROOF VERSION!!! If there were an easy, intuitive software used to program this thing, I'd give it SIX stars and recommend it to everyone I knew who had a computer. Thanks!

So w some extended trial n error I figured out how to get this bad boy to work. You really have to cut out an afternoon to learn how to program this thing. Once you get it, it's pretty straight forward for the most basic key command replacement like I use it for. I took some time to think about how I'd use it, then how to set it up. I used Pencil n marker to make some funny 'bad art' key caps for it and have found it to a an INDISPENSABLE TOOL FOR MY STUDIO. I'll post a pic. After taking basic C++ and Digital theory. I now realize the amazingly endless capabilities of this unit and only wish I had another one. Still haven't figured out how to burn the program to the actual unit though. This'd be cool but I can't imagine being in a situation where I'd need it on someone else's system.

It's REALLY easy to get used to having this thing in your setup. My workflow has sped up and that's what it's for. so, GOOD JOB :)
