I ordered this actually from ihome, but noticed there were no reviews here. I just received this today, ordered purple. So at this point I can't speak to its long term durability, but it appears well constructed. The sound is just great. I use it outside when working in the garden and it sounds wonderfully full. There is plenty of base without it overwhelming everything else. Music sounds clear and crisp. I appreciate that it has a five band equalizer, since I have a hearing loss, adjustments allows me to compensate for that loss. I listen to a range of musics from blues, rock, classical, pop and jazz and chants mostly. I was very pleased that all types of music i have played have sounded very good. My last set of speakers were terrible when I played anything that was heavy in the high range. Oh, and the magnetic remote is so cute, but i excect ill lose it in a week.
Was it worth what I paid for it, 150.00, yes. It's prefect for what it was designed. Hook up to Bluetooth was easy, didn't even have to ask my son to do it for me! Overall I'm thrilled, except for the following.
It is Not a docking station as such. There is a slot in the front that is adjustable to sit ur iPhone in, but it's in no way connected to the boom box. In order to charge your phone u must take ur iPhone out of the "dock" and use a USB cord (not included). Had I know this, I probably would have bought it anyway. But given the design look and lack of company saying otherwise, it was a real dissapointment.
