I have had this motherboard in my HTPC for a few months now and I absolutely love it. It's been stable and hasn't given me any issues. I previously had the 5800K in this motherboard and I had it overclocked to 4.5Ghz with a few mouse clicks. I recently upgraded to the 6800K and this motherboard has let me overclock it to 4.8Ghz using around 1.48 volts. This board has 8 phase VRM which makes it awesome to overclock using this board. I have seen some people push this thing up to 5.3Ghz using this board with around 1.58volts which is incredible if you ask me.

I use my HTPC to watch HD movies and do some light gaming and it absolutely handles everything I throw at it without a problem. I have also overclocked the ram to 2400Mhz because the 6800K benefits quiet a lot from higher memory speeds. I have also overclocked the NB frequency to 2000Mhz and have noticed a smoothness in both games and applications.

The Asus F2A85-V Pro is a really high quality board at a decent price and I'm very impressed with Asus because they really know how to make amazing motherboards. The BIOS/UEFI is great and packed full of features and offers extreme features to overclock your CPU. This motherboard comes with 7 SATA 6 Gb/s ports which is one of the features that I love from this motherboard. The Asus F2A85-V Pro comes with two PCIe 2.0 x16 slots which is also very nice. It also has two PCI slots just in case for your older devices and three PCIe x16 slots.

When I had my 5800K on this motherboard, I was able to get it to 4.5Ghz without a problem. The 6800K on this motherboard overclocks like crazy. I even pushed it to 5Ghz using only 1.51 volts with a CM212+ and this motherboard is able to handle it perfectly fine. The temps were too high so I went back to 4.8Ghz but if you have a good air cooler or water cooler then you can get it 24/7 stable at 5Ghz.

Overall, this is a great motherboard to get and it will be even better when Kaveri (28nm) is released which will include massive IPC improvements and will work on this board with only a bios update. Kaveri will also lower the power consumption drastically and will overclock a lot higher than Richland. The Asus F2A85-V Pro is probably the best FM2 motherboard you can buy but it's also expensive but it's worth it in the end because you are getting a quality product that is durable and very reliable.

If you want to build an HTPC for HD watching movies and doing some light gaming then this board will be more than enough for anything you throw at it. It has a ton of features for overclocking which is always nice to have. Another great thing about APUs is that it seems that more software developers are supporting OpenCL to take advantage of the GPU to accelerate performance so this will bring huge performance improvements to AMD's APUs in the future.

Overall, I highly recommend the Asus A85X F2A85-V PRO motherboard to anyone who is looking to get the best AMD FM2 socket motherboard on the market. Not only handles high overclocks like a champ but it's also future proof because it will support Kaveri when it's released which will be on a 28nm die. Kaveri will bring huge improvements to the table and will feature a much faster GPU. It's a great motherboard to get if you want to build an HTCP for watching HD movies and doing some light gaming.
