I waited about 6 months for the Phorus Speakers Phorus PS1 Speaker with Wi-Fi Streaming after seeing them on the Today show, and waited another 15 days for this Receiver component to become available. WOW! This system sounds super incredible now. It was definitely well worth the wait!

This thing is AWESOME. I connected it to my home stereo and in less than 4 minutes after unboxing it. I could have done it in 2 minutes but I forgot my wi-fi password. I was impressed the Phorus Receiver works exactly like the Phorus wi-fi speakers I purchased, so I didn't have to learn anything new to use it. They all connect together through my wi-fi router so I have music everywhere in the apartment now. Within an hour of setting the system up I realized it had seamlessly converted my Kindle Fire and HTC phone to serve as whole-home juke Box's serving up music to my home stereo in the living room and to the Phorus Speakers in my bedroom and kitchen.

We had a sort of impromptu party last night while all my friends randomly picked up my kindle from the cocktail table and picking songs they wanted to hear. Later on my neighbor came over and was able to download the app and play music he had on his phone throughout the rest of the evening. It really is a great system that almost connects itself to your wi-fi. You just have to give the app your wi-fi password once. So here's a tip: make sure you have your wi-fi password handy when you do the initial setup. Everything after that is super easy.
