I've always loved ASUS products and drooled over the specs of this unit but its hard to take advantage of the hardware when the software is so buggy.

My main grips are around the downloading client in particular. On their website the graphics show it being able to handle magnet links and RSS feeds but I have not found a single way to get magnetlinks to work and for RSS feeds, it will let you view the feed and manually click on entries but automatic download of items on the feed
just doesn't seem to work and that's the main point of an RSS feed.

I also had a lot of trouble just getting it setup initially. It turned out that one of the WD hard drives I bought to use in this unit was bad and that was causing issues so that's understandable to a certain extent but the thing was about as usable / configurable as a brick while the bad drive was in it so I hate to think what would happen if another drive goes bad later on.

As the forums point out too, the UPnP media server works well only for certain devices and unfortunately not for my Samsung Smart TV it would seem.

All in all, I think this product looks amazing and has great potential but its pretty obvious that it was rushed to market without all the kinks worked out. Hopefully future software updates will rectify this.
